Hamish Tisdall grew up around machinery, civil sites, and Queenstown ground.
His father worked on major local projects, including the Remarkables Ski Field Road, and Hamish followed the same path early. He started HT Contracting with one digger and built it into a nine-person crew running two teams, GPS-guided machinery, and Tier 1 site systems. But the standard has stayed simple.Hamish still walks the site. Hamish still prices the job. And the crew is trained to finish work clean, accurate, and ready for whoever comes in next.

Our hero machine grades to three millimetres. It fits into tight subdivision roads where full-size graders won't even turn around. This is the kit that lets us finish what other crews have to subcontract out.
GPS On Every Digger.
Every digger runs machine control so the operator can see the design levels in real time. The bucket, depth, cut, and fill are all visible from the cab. That means fewer pegs, fewer string lines, fewer assumptions, and a cleaner path from plan to finished ground.
Cubic-Metre Reporting
At the end of the job, HT can provide a cubic-metre report showing what was moved and where it sits. When the next trade arrives, you have written proof.
