How Queenstown Developers Lock In Earthworks Without The Variation Spiral.
What You Get On Site
A Director Who Walks The Ground Before Pricing It
Hamish visits every site before quoting. Access, levels, rock, neighbours, drainage, silt control, all checked before machinery arrives.
Live levels in the cab mean cleaner cuts, less over-digging, fewer delays, and less rework.
The Only Total Station Posi-Track Grader Blade In Queenstown
HT's Total Station grader blade grades to three millimetres and fits where full-size graders can't. Roads, pads, tight-access areas. Finished to an accuracy most crews can't match.
Local Knowledge That Saves Time On Real Queenstown Ground
The right material, from the right quarry, for the right season, so the job holds up after handover.
What Makes HT Different
Queenstown-Born. Still On The Ground.
Hamish Tisdall grew up around machinery, civil sites, and Queenstown ground.
His father worked on major local projects, including the Remarkables Ski Field Road, and Hamish followed the same path early. He started HT Contracting with one digger and built it into a nine-person crew running two teams, GPS-guided machinery, and Tier 1 site systems. But the standard has stayed simple.Hamish still walks the site. Hamish still prices the job. And the crew is trained to finish work clean, accurate, and ready for whoever comes in next.
Because when the ground is handled properly, the rest of the project runs cleaner.
What Makes HT Different
Modern Gear. Trained Operators. Proof At Handover.
HT Cuts, Fills, Grades, And Hands Over A Site The Next Trade Can Trust.

Total Station Accuracy
Our hero machine grades to three millimetres. It fits into tight subdivision roads where full-size graders won't even turn around. This is the kit that lets us finish what other crews have to subcontract out.

GPS On Every Digger.
Every digger runs machine control so the operator can see the design levels in real time. The bucket, depth, cut, and fill are all visible from the cab. That means fewer pegs, fewer string lines, fewer assumptions, and a cleaner path from plan to finished ground.

Cubic-Metre Reporting
At the end of the job, HT can provide a cubic-metre report showing what was moved and where it sits. When the next trade arrives, you have written proof.

Tier 1 Site Systems.
HT carries the accreditation and health and safety systems needed for serious commercial and civil sites. That means your contractor is not learning compliance on your job. The systems are already there. The documentation is already there. The crew is used to working at that level.

I got Hamish in to do my earthworks for a new build in Hanleys Farm. He was great to deal with and his team did a wonderful job with my retaining wall, slab prep and landscaping. Highly recommend. Would definitely use him again.

“No Surprises. Good Crew.
Good People To Work With.”
Modbox Queenstown brought HT in on a steep Goldfield Heights section with heavy earthworks and rock. The result: clear communication, tracked changes, no surprises, and a crew they keep bringing back.
